The Agape Bible College (ABC) Alumni Association released the maiden edition of their publication – The Lamp.
In the foreword by the President of the Association, Elder Dr. Mike Ugona, he says,
“In this and future editions, we intend to present interviews of our alumni who have attained enviable heights in society, and how the Agape Bible College influenced the outcome of their careers. In our first outing, we devote this segment to interviewing our Principal, Reverend (Dr.) Amaechi Nwachukwu, who poured his life into us as he took great pains to give us all-round theological education. We shall also highlight the ways in which the College has impacted the lives and careers of alumni as we share testimonies and reminiscences of our days in the College, showing how the input of our lecturers and the conducive environment moulded and shaped our lives.
We shall acquaint the reader with some of the rich contents of the courses offered by the College to help people appreciate how the whole man was trained in the College. Before lectures commenced each day, the students looked forward to the ‘Devotional Thoughts’ by the Principal because these devotionals ministered deeply to all, and set the tone for the day. We shall be reproducing excerpts from some of these interesting moments for our readers.
One picture, it is said, is worth more than a thousand words. We shall be showing pictorials of activities of the Alumni Association to help our readers keep pace with our operations. Also, the Association organizes an Annual Alumni Lecture Series where professors and experts in various fields are invited to educate us in different and diverse areas of life. The first lecture in this series was given by Venerable Professor Chinedu Nebo, an erudite scholar, minister of the gospel and former Minister of Power of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We feature excerpts from this highly influential lecture.”
